Flying out? I dunno bout that. You guys have Killington and all that on the EC. Bohemia has like 800-900ft vertical and just tons of glades.....fucking tons.

It is definitely the gnarliest we have to offer in Michigan.

it becomes a whole new world with fresh snow. after it gets tracked, it may not be worth it.

Bohemia would be a good stop on a road trip, but totally not worth it to fly out, because i usually go 5-15 times a year because i'm at school in Houghton, but when there's a bunch of snow, holyyyy shit is it great. Last season we had a few bomber days with tons of snowfall and i have to say it was one of the most enjoyable times on my skis, and one of the few times i really get to put my hellbents to good use in MI

i'll be heading up there from wi this year with a bunch of my friends. im worried that my trouble makers will not be enough ski for me there. would it be worth it to rent when im up there or try to borrow some wider skis from one of the other guys going up.

Don't fly to Bohemia. Go up to Vermont or New Hampshire, it will alot more worth-while.

Flying to Bohemia or the UP for that matter is quite unheard of. It's a sweet place but not as a fly in vacation. There is not much in the UP. And like everyone else is saying if you're from NY go up to Vermont....I hear that Jay Peak is a sick little spot.

I love that place, went to school there and it's titties for midwest. But it's a very large rocky hill, not a mountain. Live on VT now and snow, glades and steeps are more plentiful and similar. If you want to fly keep going west or drive east. However, there are rarely lift lines, lake superior views are sick and beer is dirt cheap

Ripley Might open, if they keep blowing they will for sure have a run or two open within the next two weeks.

Bohemia opened on Dec. 18th. I skied all weekend and found some really nice pow. It was probably the best  opening weekend I've skied there. We are supposed to get a storm through Christmas Day so there should be lots of fresh snow coming up.

Some dude on the lift said it was pretty amazing, but idk if it would be a skiing destination to fly out to, there is mt. Ripley not too far away.

what about driving about 11 hours? worth it? or not? i'm from PNS, but we want to take a trip to michigan or someplace else to ski. bohemia really caught our eye but we aren't sure if its worth the trip or not

Just fly out west. 11 hours is a long time in a vehicle. A day there, day back....

I am in west michigan and its like a 11 hour drive for me and I won't consider it. It's not even worth going if they aren't slammed with snow, and its not easy to get to if its slammed with snow I hear.

It's like 900ft though....although from what I gather from pics and stuff....looks like a lot of gladed terrain. A lot.

I am not sure how thinly gladed.

Indy to SLC and SLC to the little cottonwood canyon for $99 a night including lift passes to snowbird. best way to do it.
