I know there are a lot of mosely hate threats and positive threads, and here's another one. I like how a lot of people say he sucks and can only throw dinner rolls. Guess what?? go watch the WSI slopestyle from 2000(!) and watch him rip it up. First off, he hits the flat down which not many did cause rails were not popular back then. THen he airs huge, bigger than anyone, on the hip. Then he throws a switch rodeo 720, unheard of at that time. (it would be 2.5 more years before tanner threw it in the xgames) and then he went straight from the switch rodeo 7 to a flat out dope rodeo 9 mute. THAT is skill. That run would do well now adays and that was 4 yrs ago. THe guy has skills, or at least he had skills. Also he was throwing grabs into his rodeos back in 99, before anyone even threw rodeos

he did all that while maintaining a marketable face that brought the 'free' side of skiing to the mass public; most notably to advertisers and ski conglomerates. whatever he does now nonwithstanding, freeskiing as we know it would be much different and perhaps stunted in growth without j man. i mean, he even got FIS to allow corks in mogul skiing. who else can claim such a groundbreaking accomplishment?

Yeah dude, the sport of kick ass skiiing owes a shit load of thanks to Mosely and Morrison. I think people still give alot of credit to Morrison because he is still going huge. Mosely doesn't get alot of that credit because he is exploring other avenues of life. The fuckin dude has been a host of saturday night live man, not to many skiers will have that opportunity. He fuckin rocks.

I think most people had an issue with the fact he hosted some show for MTV and melted down his gold medal. I'm not a hater but that's why I lost respect for him.

Moseley is (was) damn good but he sure as hell wasn't the only one going big at the time. To me, 2000 doesn't really seem like that long ago and there were plenty of other people that have been throwing down crazy shit for years.
Skogen was throwing unnatty rodeo's back then. And Candide and Mike D were throwing D-spin's back in 98.

i saw that run and it was so bad. He didnt clean any of the rails, and both of his rodeos were ugly and sketchy. In that same comp vinnie dorion threw a switch underflip saftey and a d spin 9 tail with so much style. He also cleaned all the rails, with switch on to the flat down. Mosely didnt do anything for the sport, but i have no reason to hate him. Just dont go around saying mosely started this shit because he was not the first person to do anything.

Rory Bushfield was doing cork 7s in moguls in 2000 - and they were sick.
switch rodeo 7 was not unheard of back then, because everyone was just hucking.

AceofSpades - I didnt ever say Mosely started all this. I know JF was throwing 3 grabs in 95 and 96, Mosely's 3 mute in the olympics was nothing new at least for the freeskiing community. BUT, he was one of the best at the time. He has, in my opinion, the best segment in Degenerates. Throwing 7 grabs, misties, rodeo grabs, huge back mutes. He throws backflips off cliffs and rips big mt with Mcconkey. He def. deserved to win at hte 2000 WSI too, his run was sick. No one went as big as him off that hip, his switch rodeo, they didnt even know what to call it. And his rodeo 9 was huge at the end. He had skills for those times. You can view the old footy of it at Freezes website. go to their video archives and keep going way back, you will see it.
