car was stock when I go it, pretty boring. All I have done is New Intrax lowering springs, custom made 3" intake, td-04 15t, custom 2.5" exhaust, 14psi mbc, 15% tint, smoked corners, and remote radiator fan switch.
lol that evo is my buddies car. i used to work at slick motorsports. and ive seen that Z around at superfly sunday a few times. those pics were taken in AK ohio, by a friend.
He said those were his upgrades...and i guess technically a TD04 is just the size of the compressor housing and it is a 15t which isn't all that big...not terrible though.
And tbatt that is pretty much completely false, a stock MT WRX is a full second faster 0-50 than a Saab aero 9000 and comes stock with about 10 more hp.
they are faster from a roll than some ferraris and other nice, fast cars like that, and would rape a stock wrx from a roll, but not from a dig, mabye a 2.0 wrx but probs not a 2.5
Haha ok, look up your facts man. It is faster than a ferrari from 40/50-75...hardly from a roll, midrange acceleration at that point isn't that big of a deal when a WRX/STi/EVO or Ferrari will gear change and then blow away as they hit 3rd gear.
ehhhh not too sure on that, from videos ive seen on the saab board im on, stock v stock aeros can hang in there with stis, evos not sure, and wrxs they eat up. ill try and find videos but i cnat remember exactly where ive seen em.
Haha not true at all man, those are definitely not stock then. Look up some specs, they aren't that fast. A stock aero 9000 will not stand up to an STi or an EVO and it might be even with a stock WRX.
my bro has one..an 03 used, jet black, badass chrome rims, almost 500 horsepower and just bought it for 17,000 because it had a salvage title but is now perfectly fine. my bro is a senior and he drives to school so i hitch a ride with him, and some idiot pulls up in an evo not knowing that it was an m5, and of course, it wasnt even funny how bad we beat him...but what was funny is that the kid with the evo was the one to get a ticket hahaha
An Evo that is correctly tuned with a couple simple upgrades can be at 1000 horsepower, without that much work. It is kinda disgusting actually. It can smoke an M5 without even trying if done correctly. I hate Evo's, but I have to admit they have an amazing platform to build up from.
It's pretty funny that all the cars posted besides the OP's are hideous, and riced out. The OP's car is the only one with taste and the only car that looks good. You call them real cars when they really just look like shit.
uh lmao, that evo was built for time attack and is pushing 760whp. so maybe before you go and say its "riced" out, do some research. or go on any evo forum and look up evo dave
you can not deny american muscle. or actually fuck that, i'm a big fan of box chevys on 22's or more. who cares whats under the hood when your rims cost more than your house.
without that much work? that is pushing it man. you're looking at completely rebuilt internals, huge turbo upgrade, standalone system and that's only naming a few costly and time consuming upgrades. not to mention every time you push it it's asking to fucking throw rods and just blow.
anyways i'm not a big fan of the cars but it's pretty clean man. nice job.
From what I've been told (I don't know a ton about evo's, mostly know a ton about suby's) that the internals are good to high hp. Might not last for long, but you can do it for a while. Standalone system? Are you talking engine management or what? Cause you can opensource that shit easy as hell now (RomRaider and EcuFlash).
From what I've heard, big turbo, piping, cams. Expensive, sure, hard to do? Not at all. Those things aren't bad compared to an engine rebuild. Could do all that in a weekend pretty easy. If you're rebuilding internals as it is, your chance of throwing a rod deminishes.
eh, high hp but not 1000. you can push a stock motor to like 5-600 if your nice. it also depends on what kind of fuel you are using. if its pump gas say bye bye to your motor if its not built for that power
Well you obviously wouldn't be running pump gas....a WRX can hit 500 on stock internals if you are good to it. I have heard Evo's can go quite a bit higher. I didn't say it would last for long or be reliable, but you can hit it with EASY mods is what I'm saying, compared to a lot of other cars.
