does anyone have this available at their college? if you do, do it.
one of my jobs is to sit at an information desk for a dorm and:
let people in that have forgotten their keys, answer the phone when it rings (it never does), or answer questions on where people are (if they arent on the sign out/in sheet i just say that i dont know), and direct them to the floor that they are on and what wing.
my other job is to sit in the cardio room and make sure people are using the machines correctly and wiping down the machine when they are done.
we are allowed to do whatever we want to at both jobs, including watching the big screen plasma tv, using our laptop, or just talk with some friends as long as i am at the desk.
and i can make up to $2000 every year that i am at the college.
