Pipe cleaners or ar6 cant make up my mind

i really cant decide on which to get im scared to get the pipe cleaners will be to stiff but i know ar6 is just a solid ski for park.

We can't help you if you don't tell us more info on what kind of skiing you do and how tall you are and all. Do you do 50% rails and 50% jumps or do you more jumps etc...

im 5'10 do 50% jumps and %50 rails had tanner halls the last 2 years and just wanna try something different

just ask yourself if you want to spend a little more but get AR6s on steroids. the answer should be yes.

so some people like me we dont need something like the pipe cleaner. its too stiff for a smaller persons size if they want to jib at all, and the ar6 will be better suited for a smaller person and be more fun if you dont want to do all jumps and pipe, both of which the ar6 is fine for..however the pipe cleaner will be better for both because of the reallyyy fast base

If I were you I would go with the AR6, because the AR6 is more durable/less maintenance than the pipecleaner, and I have heard they perform nicely out of the park. Also b/c I didn't see you say anywhere that you ski pipe.

not if he only skied rails - they'd be trashed in a matter of weeks. The PC isn't much stiffer than the AR6, it's more that it's not as durable. If you ski mostly jumps go PC if you ski mostly rails go AR6 - that's the easiest way to answer the question.

I have it on good authority that the 2010 PC is softer than the AR6 unlike everyone thinks.

I've hand flexed both, PC is stiffer (until broken in at least).

pipe cleaners are really fast. get them if you like going really fast. haha thats what i liked most about mine.

The PCs? They're not going to be destroyed in 2 seconds, but the bases and edges are high quality race materials, imagine taking race skis on rails - that's essentially what you'd be doing. The AR6s have the base that holds up well on rails.

i would get the ar6 for sure. as said above it is definately a more durable base and it requires less maintenance than the pc. the point of the pc is to give you the extra boost of speed for the pipe. but you are doing mostly jumps and rails. and if half of what you do is rails you'll need a durable ski. and you'll still be able to cruise groomers just fine. the pc is a great ski, but it sounds like you'll gain more from the ar6

Have you skied them on rails?

I've been using mine in the park for 2 seasons and they're still holding up fine. It's a higher quality base, which stays high quality if you maintain it, and they have the same edges as the AR6 and every other Armada park ski. They work great on rails because they're light too.

get the Ar6 man. pipe cleaners are pipe skis, made mostly for jumps and pipes. I was going to get the Ar6 as well. been my dream ski for years. Have you looked into the Alphas? thats what i decided to get.

This thread is filled with fucking idiots.  Pipe Cleaners are just fine on rails, and the base is faster.  It also holds wax better IMO, and the only way to make it not work well is to never wax it.  PCs are also lighter.  PCs are NOT STIFF.  The tip is softer than AR6s(talking about 09 AR6s/PCs, which are unchanged for 2010) and the tail isn't overly stiff at all.  So with all of that said...get Pipe Cleaners?  I love mine, there just perfect.  Mount at -2.5
