Liberty LTE

Have you guys heard a lot about the Liberty LTE's. I have heard that they do well in park and in the bumps and have heard other good things but I just wanted to make sure before I buy them.

So I just say the Phil Larosses in person, and they are sick. The LTE is based on the Phil Larosse but made slightly softer (which is sick - the Phil Larosses are kinda soft, but it would be nice if they were slightly softer). I'd say go for it.

yo i'm pretty sure the LTE is stiffer than the larose's. I felt my larose's need to be stiffer under foot which liberty did stiffen them up under foot, but left them a bit softer at the tips and tails (or so i've heard). so i can't vouch for the lte at all but these are just the aspects i've heard about them.. also liberty's are light as light can be, lightest skis i've ever picked up.

Just to make sure, I am a little taller then 5'5 and weigh a little more then 130 lbs but I am still growing.
I ski mostly park but I use these skis for bumps and trees and everything else.

Would the Liberty LTE 157's be a good size

that's what they did, I didn't really explain it right, They stiffened underfoot and softened the tip and tail.

nah, i'd go bigger than 157's, especially if you're gonna be using them for trees and bumps and stuff and still growing. liberty's run a bit short and they're super light so don't be worried about having a heavy skis that are too big for you.

go up to the 164's. im 5 foot 5 and 110 pounds and i got my ar6s in a 166 so youll be fine with 164, actually it would be perfect. and great choice on the LTEs they sound so sick!

armada's run longer than liberty's your 166's are probably pretty close to the LTE 171's which i don't want to be the doucher telling everyone to get big skis cuz i think its really cool of me.. but... if you're really are still growing like you say and you're gonna be using it for an all mountain ski the 171 would be a nice ski for you. i'm guessing it'd be the same height as you, which can be a bit much if you're younger and all, but i think once you grow a couple inches you'd regret having 164's and wish you had 171's. but size em up at shop to see for yourself and see what feels right you.

Actually this is false, I was in a shop today and had a 171 Liberty Ski next to a 171 Armada Ski (In fact it was Phil Larosses and AR6s) and they are the same size, exactly.

then go 164 if thats what you feel would be best for you. its your ski and how you want to ski em, just have fun on em!

164s are probably good, you could pull off 171, but it might make some rail tricks hard in the beginning, I'd say go with the 164s if that's what you feel most comfortable with.

with your weight you probably dont need anything over a 12 din. Id look into some marker griffons maybe if you want a super light setup. Look PX12s are a solid binding. A salomon sth12 would probably be a good choice too. Im gonna be riding LTEs this year too, cant wait to get them.

just get the marker griffon if you want the lightest setup especially since we are small it will help. thats what i got..

Not real sure but i think fks 120's might be just as light if not lighter than griffons. Plus the 120's are more durable, at least the heel is.

anyone know how light and soft these are compared to the moment jibs for 2010 and keep in mind that they softened them up quite a bit for this year. = karma to any one who helps me out. Thanks!

Between the marker griffons, Look PX12, salomon sth12, and the fks 120, would you guys say that any of these are worse are better then the others. If not I might just let price decide

i have px12 jibs and they are legit. cheap and they are durable. i would say get some griffons though becuase they are better but a little heavy. if you want the lightest bindings, go with px12 jibs.

Griffons are much lighter than px 12 jibs. I have both bindings. px12 jibs are probably the heaviest of all the bindings he mentioned. They (px12s) are durable though and they will probably be the cheapest.

I am planning on getting the Liberty LTEs with the Marker Griffons
Because I ski a ton of park but also do a ton of bumps / trees (This is my only pair of skis so I ski it all with them), where should I mount the bindings
Would a center mount be a good idea or not?

i think its similar to the ar6, except not the stiff tail. under the foto is really stiff for edge hold, while the tipsis soft and buttery as well as the tail...however, i dont know if this is a symmetric flex ski., if someone could fill me in that would be great

Hand flexing these felt near symmetrical flex. The tail is probably a little stiffer than the nose but it is a softer tail than the AR6. I was talking to a rep who tested these this summer at Hood who said they flex soft and ski buttery and playful  but without the noodling on crud and groomers. You could message Hornbeck about them. He was on them all of last season so he could tell you a lot more then anybody. I can't wait to get on mine.

Haha this is the exact setup I'm getting. In fact a couple of the people that helped me pick it out helped me out with this.

I'm 5'9" and i'm getting the libery LTE's with griffon bindings.

yup, i have phil larose with 120;s. their sooooo fucking light, griffons are pretty heavy. my setup is lighter than my friends dumonts with griffons
