So today I was tlking to my teacher who is also my football coach bout some shit, and he was telling me that back in the day(a good 20-30 years ago) it was out in colorado skiing, and he and his college buddies found non other then the California Governator!(thats Schwarzenegger for you retards) I mean I'm sure thats nothing special but get this... he wore 215cm skies!!!!!! Granite they weren't some twin tip but i just thought this was rediculous... i myself ride 178 so i just was mind F***ed when he told me that... decided to share it with you guys
Its a little ironic how you called people retards in your post when the post was full of misused words, spelling errors, and a general lack of knowledge of skiing's history.
I wish some company would make a legit 215 cm backcountry twin. Short skis suck for tall dudes.
But in response to the thread creator, short skis didn't come around until the invention of shaped skis. My dad has a closet in the garage full of 210 - 220 cm straight skis. He says he's gonna make a picnic table out of them someday. Hell, I think even my mom still has an old pair of GS skis from the 80s that are 200s.
shit i remember the day of measuring skis by holding your arm above your head and you bought skis that went up to your wrist. It was the common precedure.
that was kind of brutal to read. you must not have been skiing for too long, or else you're like 12 cause I can totally remember back in the day when I was like 5 riding up the t-bar between my dad's legs (yeah everyone did that back then) and he rocked 210's. everyone did back then
i've ridden 210s and that was a few years ago when i had to borrow my dad's old straight elans. i skied straight into a tree well because i couldn't turn fast enough.
I haven skied straight skis in a WHILE, but i did get a change to rip around on some 215 k2s last winter that have minimal sidecut, and haha, they are definitely different. get your jump turn on!
sorry for my "lack of knowledge" on skiing 10 years ago, for one 10 years ago i could give two fucks less about skiing because i had no idea wtf it was!!!!, and 2 i live in fucking iowa so why would i even know about skiing then?! o and sorry for my "bad english" for all you english majors out here, i should realize you all write everything with completely correct english and also want to me a writer when your older but for all of you who weren't complete assholes thanks for the comment.
