Anyone rode the s6 AND either Line Elizabeths or SFB's? Only ridden the s6 and I loved it, and trying to decide which one to buy.. although would probably buy any of the 3 if the right price pops up. Anyone whos ridden both could you give me some specifics on the differences in each? If i'm not mistaken the lines are a bit softer, and a bit wider. Would prefer longer length but would settle for lizzie. I'm 5'8".
I ride the Bacons and have flexed my buddie's steezes a bunch. They are both great skis with sim dimensions. If you prefer to ski super fast, go s6. If you want a more forgiving but stil very responsive ride, do SFB. you're choice, and either one will float like ice cream on a root beer float. maybe not like that, but I want one
i got a chance to ride the steezes on an almost 2 foot day at snowbasin last year and absolutely hated them. it might have been because we werent riding anything there that was wide open enough to really get up a ton of speed, but they just kept diving and felt really uncontrollable. got back on my 179 seths and had no problems, even though they're shorter and narrower. if you're looking for something that's wide and super stable, the s6 might work well, but i thought they were far too stiff for me. i'm 6'0", about 165lbs or so, if that gives you any guidance.
i skied the s6 last uyear for a day, wind loaded pow, groomers/boiler plate, afternoon in the park. i had a blast on them, for there girth they held well on groomers and ice, i found them to be very nimble abd light, was able to spin nice smooth 5's off of the 40 ft table swing weight wasn't to bad, they liked going fast but even at slower speeds i could still whip them around in a tight spot, i would say a great all around ski and a good daily driver for the west coast. for refrence i'm 6ft 140lbs and my dailey driver ski is a 185 moship
i have the steezes I fucking love them! Great for east coast seeing as how you gotta ski on a lot of shit to get to the good stuff, so if I was on west id want something softer and rockered probably. heres a vid of my skis in action
