i couldn't think of another way to phrase the topic, but anywho: mine would ahve to go back to my race days. We had our own sperate building near the lodge for the racers, it had a small TV and one day another racer brought in a video. It was the promotional for the 2001(i think) Line skis. It wasn't long but i watched it soooo many times. That's when i realized how cool this sport was. Sadly i didn't quit racing at that time

My brother picked up some line skiboards off getboards, and I wanted some too. I was checking out getboards looking for skiboards and ran across Line's 00-01 lineup and said thats looks awesome, but I'll take skiboards. When my brother actually let me try his boards, I decided I like the feel of skis better and made up my mind I had to get some Lines. Then I found out a store near me was closing out stuff, and happened to have lines. Booyah! I've been on the same pair of Skogens ever since, and I paid under 200 for them.
please pass the salt

I always thought throwing my body as high in the air as possible on skis was cool. I skied on rentals from when I was 8 till I was 12 and I had never seen a pair of twin tips or a 'new school' skier in my life. I just knew that helicopters and spread eagles were fun. then i went to buy myself some skis, and I almost bought ski boards cause i knew at the time that they were for tricks. lucky for me the dude at the ski shop would not allow me to head down that path and showed me a sick ski video which I do not know the name of. So in 1999 I bought myself a pair of the orange 1080's which I still ski on to this day and I have been kickin' it new school style ever since.

My hill is so small I got bored sliding down the same damn runs over and over, so I jumped into the park. Plus, being an old man, during the day when most people that jib are in school I get the park to myself so I don't have to share.
