Nice. I went there this past summer. It was hot. In Rome: Veal Saltimbocca, in florence: Any Pasta Al Tartufo. That is the food knowledge you need, I'd like to suggest the name of this pizza place in Venice, but I can't remember the name of it. Oh, and go to Amalfi if you have the chance.

Ah, the SOUTH part of Italy. Yeah for sure try to get to Amalfi for a day or so, best beaches and nicest coastline in Italy. I stayed in a Ducal palace while I was there, too....pretty damn cool. But Rome is just awesome, Trevi fountain is crazy.

i'm gonig next year... the school has a trip to europe every year... its going to be italy, france and spain... only cities i remember are rome,monaco,florance,and piza tho, were gonig to a few others...

^You should talk them out of going to Pisa, they have a leaning tower and a ton of tourists, and that's it. Not really worth the time, and certainly not worth dealing with all the damn crowds. Venice was the nicest place I went to, but Florence is also great... best Ice cream in the world.

yeah i don't understand why anyone would want to go to pisa... but the tour company they planned the trip with always goes there so we dont have much say in where we go... its only a few hours tho.. should'nt be that bad

ya i went to italy a while ago. florence, rome, venice, milan, pisa and san gimignano, which was by far my favorite. great little city, lots of history, and really interesting, and ya, pisa isn't worth it at all.

who cares if you have to visit some relatives, you still get to go to japan! just try to get some time away from your family and you'll have a good trip. i went to sweden and iceland last summer with my parents, we did our own thing every once in a while, met up later on, and it was awesome. but i actually like my parents so it wasn't torture to spend time with them.

^true true but yet i still really dont want to go back and speak japanese. last time i went (which was in august for my grandpa's funeral) i had to watch him get cremated (spe?) nasty shit. yeah the good part about japan is teh shopping!!!! hahaha i can fer sure get away from my mom but i once got lost in the busy streets of tokyo when i was 6. NOT FUN! scared the shit outa me so bad.

ah, ya i can see how watching someone get acremated would kind of spoil the vacation. and getting lost, same thing happened to me in bankok when i was about 6. got lost in the market at night, sooo scary, but only for about 20 minutes, my parents were completely freaked out, i thought it was funny.

I ate supper last night in Rome, Italy. no really, i'm serious. I just finished a 19day tour of Europe.
TO quickly name the cities.
Germany - Munchen, Fussen
France - Nice, Tolouses(sp), Carcassonne
Switzerland - Zurich, Interloken, Murren, Bern
Spain - Madrid, Zaragoza, San Sebastien, Barcelona
Andorra
Italy - Verona, Venice, Florence, Pisa, Rome

It was good, but quite rushed and much time on the train.

its kinda too bad you're going in april, but it still sounds sweet...definitely check out the amalfi coast south of naples, positano is pretty chill. have a great time in one of my personal favorite european countries

Italy kick ass. if you can make it to Spello 'Spellow' (it is spelled somthing like that) you should. it is a smaller town and the while thing is made out of coble stone. it is like a old village thing but everything is connected by this cobble stone. it kicks ass and less people know about it so ya....
