Peer Pressure: good in moderation?

I just started thinking about this past weekend. I was goig bigger and stomping better tricks than ever before, mainly because I was riding with some new guys who were better than I was. Seeing them throw down and getting advice and urges from them made me throw down stuff that I was kind of afraid of, but as a result, I learned 2 new tricks (Backscratcher and iron cross). So, what do you think? Is peer pressure in moderation a good thing?

Yeah, peer pressure is what keeps the sport progressing. With out some amount of peer pressure from your friends, you just wouldn't have the motivation to go bigger and better.

Thats not really peer pressure...Its more like constructive advice or encouragement. Peer pressure is when douche bags on the lift yell 'You suck' because you just straight aired the table, and they are doing rodeos or whatever. Then you are pressured into something you may not be ready for, or pressured into bailing out of the park because you feel like you're being clowned on.

o my gizzle to tha god, why would you post about backscratcher and iron crosses? since you obviously fall into peer pressure, tie a string on a door handle and tie it to your dick and slam the door
i dont wanna go to prison, im saving myself for someone special

Yeah, that is super gay porn style. I think that would def be the wrong kind of peer pressure.
Quote of the week:Yeah, thanks Jodi's mom, for the blowjob... I always give in when she busts out the Werther's Originals!

When you've been riding for 2 years on a hill with no park (and you've been on decient skis for 4 days), you might understand that being a milestone. Also, you're right. It wasn't really voiced pressure, but more seeing other guys riding hard and that pressing me to push beyod the mental blocks.
