Skiing: Lifestyle or Hobby?

What is it for you?

Ive been discussing this alot with my friends and family lately. I plan on ski bumming for a while, and they keep telling me that its just a hobby. I dont know how to explain to them that its more than that to me.
Thoughts?

Couldn't have said it better myself, i can't wait to get my degree into pocket and ski bum for as long as i see fit after school.

Skiing brings more joy to my life than anything else, the sport itself and the friends I have made through it.

starts as a hobby then at least for me you get into the culture and it becomes a liffestyle.
