yes and no. i def think there is something to be said for the anticipation for movies at that time (and skiing was so immature compared to now, so the difference between years was HUGE). but, to name one downside, the world of ski media was so small. like, half the pics in mags during the winter, you could recognize from the corresponding video shot of it cause you saw it in a movie
