i can assume you have only skied the bacons then, the jj basically takes the bacon, adds float in pow, stability in crud, better performance switch riding, and a better feel all around. as a former owner of both, i can say the jj wins in every situation that i was using the skis for
also they are exactly the same width underfoot so not sure what you meant by that
the jj is an interesting ski that's incredibly fun and kills it everywhere. floats in pow and never hooks and is capable of charging or just playing around
the bacon is a great ski in medium deep pow and on groomers that gets tossed in crud, is too short, and too soft. i think the only true statement you made was that the bacon is buttery
weight makes NO difference in skis or bindings unless you're touring or you really care about swing weight. the jj's will feel lighter in the air than bacons because of the more centered tip contact points, with the taper in tip and tail it brings everything towards the center so the ski rides shorter and feels more centered, hence why you should only mount at recommended. also i impair you to get the 185 jj, they ski ridiculously short
