Chronic Size Issues

So I'm looking at next year's skis.
I'm down to the following.
The Line Chronic in 167 or the Line Chronic in 177cm.
They each have a 80mm waist.

I ski 100% midwest and east coast.
I've never in my life had to worry about skiing real powder, or anything of the like

I will be most likely putting Look bindings on them.

I'm 5'6' and weigh like 135lbs.

167 or 177cm....?

until this year, I was riding the 164cm 1260's. This year I finally switched to the 171cm Mike Nicks an really like these difference.
However, Line is not making something in this size range as of now.

167 Chronic to 177 Chronic is all I can decide between.
This is hard for me.
I believe I'll be able to demo the 177, which unless I hate them...i will still have no idea.

Since there isn't exactly real skiing around here, I spend a lot of time in the park. Spins-aall directions- rails, everything.

I was thinking the 167 until yesterday when i saw the 177, and it was barely any taller than me with boots on.

think about it like a tech 12....sure the mk2 will work just fine, but the mk3 is just more pimp

but i used to ski 195's so you'll never hear me telling anyone to pick the shorter of the two

177s, im about the same size as you, 5'7 150 and i ski the 175 troublemakers, and i went up from a line 1260 164cm, and the difference helps a shitload. and your rail skills will not suffer at all.

dont forget that line messures there matterial before its shaped so all of there skis r 2 1/2cm shorter than what they say it is so the 177cm is accually like 175cm. i dont accually know about next yrs stuff but i had this yrs scogens and they messured 174cm not the 176 they r suposedly suposed to be. just somthing to keep in mind

Why, oh why couldn't they make a 181-185 length. Those skis look too awesome to be exclusively for short people. Still, I'm looking at the 177s myself.

Theres real powder every once in awhile in michigan brody. Just come up north once and the 177 will be worth it.

I would reccomend going with the 177. I bet you are still growing, if so, the longer ski is the way to go. But it is not that big of a deal because I bet you would be happy with either. From what I can tell you are a good skier, so once you spend some time on either pair, the effects of the size difference would minimal. I hope that was helpful.
