So I'm 95% picking up some s7's. I live in Upstate NY, but I've been skiing fat skis as my all mountain ski here for probably the last 4 seasons and I love it. I already have a park ski. Going to Utah for 10 days mid february and usually go on a trip every year, so obviously that's a big reason I'm getting these skis. Heres my specs
height: 6'3''
weight: 170lbs
advanced, east coast.
I like the idea of going shorter because it will be more versatile and fun for me when I'm on the east coast, and I can probably even take them into the park just to dick around. Also a 17.5m turn radius seems perfect for me coming from the Bacon (i like short radius fat skis). On the contrary I like going longer because the ski is rockered, and I've never had experience with rockered skis so I don't want the 188 feeling short. Also, I could charge a little harder when I go out west.
So if anybody can provide any insight for me it would be much appreciated, preferrably people who might have ridden the ski before, but I'm just looking for opinions.
