WTF is jIbbing?

forgive the noobery but i was under the impression jibbing was skiing on shit that wasnt snow - rails, cement, boxes, - but im obviously wrong. Whats jibbing and backcoutry jibbing / jibbbing skiis???

bc jibbing is basically just tricking off natural features, getting creative and all that. ( ex. butters off cliffs, switch tricks into pow, etc.)

its your definition + butters and things like that. so a backcountry jib ski would be good for having fun in bc and doing butters, going switch etc.

defines the seperation between BC skiing and going into the BC to do tricks. if i hadnt heard and some told me that Durtschi had a sick BC seg id assume cliffs, lines, and pillows.
