You have to understand that the people with great success largely are conservative republicans, why? Because the conservative/republican value has intertwined with realist behavior and ideology. What this means is it is the most selfish group known to man. It's good to be selfish sometimes though as the theory of the maximizing person does hold a bit of truth. While it's credibility has many holes in it, that doesn't mean we can't learn from it. It can also be bad to be selfish. As to everything in life, there are pros and cons. All this talk about ratings ratings ratings is what is wrong with the media today, both liberal and conservative media.

I can't believe anyone would use Olberman, Beck, O Reilley etc. as a credible source. This whole conservative vs liberal view shows the real sides of people. Whoever was ranting about Obama apologizing to other countries...I assume you mean the one time he apologized in the Middle East. We damn well should apologize to the people of Afghanistan for letting the country rot in the 80's after we used it as a proxy war state against Russia. It doesn't mean we have to flood them money or anything but we were in the wrong for giving them weapons and engaging them in a series of complex wars.
