I dislocated my shoulder having sex today.

she was on top. i tried to flip over with her on top so i could be. started loosing balance, put my arm out and pop, should out of the socket. freaked out. i popped it back in and took a nap. shit fucking hurt.

thats a baller injury

but actually, i think you rarely pop out a shoulder and have no complications. There is muscle and tissue and what ever else in there they you obviously just put a ton of stress on. I would suggest going to a doctor to just make sure you didnt rape your shoulder.

i hope you popped it back in correctly too

to the dude above you, i did finish after a 20 min nap.

and this is the 14th time i've dislocated my shoulder. last yr i did it the first time and did it 11 times last season. dislocated it 3 this summer and today. its back in fine.

You should talk to an orthopedist about surgery.  I'm getting mine in the spring.  I've dislocated my shoulder 16 times.  Get that shit fixed right after ski season ends so you can have the 6 month recovery and miss minimal skiing.

With that said.  That is a baller injury.

well then you should know to wear some sort of brace for all contact sports

this kid on my team had a bad shoulder. he wore this neoprene wrap that kinda just pulled his shoulder towards his body, but last game, like 3 plays in, he dislocated it again and now its all fucked up. He's done for the football season, and he can get surgery and he will be good for lacrosse season, but he will be out for 5 months and just get fat and lose muscle because he wont be able to work out.

im saving up for one right now but i have a lot of stuff i currently have to pay for so its one of the last things on my list.

i'd get surgery but 1. parents won't pay for it and i don't have a job. 2. that would put me out for like 6 months which would fucking suck. i couldn't skate or ski or anything. right now i just can't afford surgery but hopefully after this season i'll be able to

That sucks.  I hope that things will work out so that you can get the surgery.

But still, you did it having sex, that's probably the best way to get injured.

that sucks... my friend broke his girlfriends nose during sex, she was on top, there was a story about the Jayhawks on Sportscenter, he suddenly sits up to see the tv and head buts her right in the face... sooo much blood it, was nuts

I'm a doctor out of Oklahoma and there are only two reason for a shoulder to dislocate during sex... 1. You have a muscle deficiency in your shoulder. or 2. Your sleeping with a huge fatty monster!!  Number 2 is most likely in this situation after further analysis.

this is awesome ive also had this injury...but it was in a car and i fell on the floor of the car with her on top and i put my arm down but it stayed on the seat while i went down and pop...haha but i had just gotten out of a sling for dislocating in skiing haha...i thought i was the only one
