common sense: what are the basic characteristics of this ski?
short = maneruverable and low swing weight but less stable at speed
wide = stable but harder to link your edge
soft = easier press/butter tricks but less stable on big landings

i actually liked my lizzies a lot on rails. i wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a pure rail/urban domination ski. it's not skinny obviously, so probably not quiet as nimble as a more traditional park ski. but i rode it as my everyday ski (in park, groomers, off-trail, powder, whatever) so when i was hitting rails it was nice. it didn't feel like the width slowed me down (but i was on a longer ski before that so that could be why). and i liked the extra width, it adds stability on the rail, and the ski definately has some play in it for butters and stuff.

they aren't for dancing on rails, you could, its just hard. ive rode them the past two years as my only ski. i skied prob 5 out of 6 days a week lapping the park with them and theyre fine on rails. like he said above, harder to lock in, but once your locked in, your there. idk if that makes sense.
also idk if this has to do with the width of the ski, but i feel like your edges crack faster than on skiinier park skis bc when you land hard on a rail/disaster, it has more torsional force on the edge. again idk if that makes sense. either way ive skied each pair ive had 140days+ hard, running into rocks and all sorts of stuff and the eges arent even close to ripping out.....line skis are sweet, buy some.

How exactly would one measure the "perfomance" of a ski in the area of rails, pray tell?

I don't think skis feel any different once your on the rail. You could do it with race skis.
