Dr Ns: Invisalign Braces?

So I just went to this thing at my dentist to see if I should get Invisalign braces. My teeth aren't super bad, but they could use it. Has anybody used these things, and if so how are they? Are they intrusive, do they work well etc.. Is it worth it?

My mom's a dentist. Those things are gimmicks. Get real braces if you actually want to fix your teeth and/or bite.

My sister had them. You could barely tell they were there.

It does suck if you wanna have a snack or something since you have to take 'em out though.

theyre much more painful than normal braces because they lock into place with a little pump thats put onto your tooth and every time you take it out or put it in, it pushes on your teeth extra much and makes they stay sore always while your teeth get used to the tightenings with normal braces

no one has mentioned the cost. But I got braces twice in my life. Once when I was a kid, and then again (i got them off on 4/20 this year). But braces cost half as much as invisilign, plus honestly....braces are kinda cool.

You know in some asian cultures the girls get braces even though they do not need them because it is considered a trendy thing to do.....

I am just saying, it ain't all that bad for a nice grill.

I had braces for 9 years. I recently got them off on sept 2. Those invisaligns may work, but i think they would be more expensive. Just get normal braces, I have the clear plastic retainers right now to keep my teeth from moving, which i have to wear all the time, and it's annoying if i want to eat something, especially if i don't have something to put them in after taking them out. They do change the way i sound, i have a little lisp and as a resault take them out when in english cause i can't talk 100% right.

So just get normal braces and stop worrying about how you look and shi like that. If it's really gonna affect your self esteem that much then get the invisaligns, but I think they were targeted more for girls.

I have them right now and i have next to no complaints at all. It takes a little longer then braces but they are working fine for me.
The only time they ever hurt was the first weekend i got them, hurt like a bittchh.
The first day you put in a new set they are a bit tight but i always put them in on a friday and get drunk that night so i hardly notice.
And eating isnt as bad as you would think, once you get use to taking them out fast you can go stealth and take them out at the table if you are eating out. And you dont have to brush them after everytime you eat if you dont want.

just get regular braces. people may make fun of you at first, but once you get them off and have a baller smile, you get all the chicks
