Replying to Half a Pair Thread
This is an idea I got from a thread on TGR forums. EVERYONE has broken a ski, delammed a ski, lost a pole, broken a binding, etc. The sad part is that most people just end up throwing their skis away when something breaks. Here's the solution YOU AREN'T THE ONLY ONE!
To make this thread work properly, there need to be a few rules. Please read carefully so that this can work!
If you list an item, you need to make sure you copy every item before you that is also listed, so that you only have to look at the last post to see what is available. Likewise, when something is sold, make a new post that says "sold" and delete your item from the list. Let me give an example.
"I have a single Scott P3 178 ski, I need a second"
so, I write everything about that ski first, then add it to the list of skis needed.
"Skis Needed:"
123ski - Scott P3 178
Fake Member - Fake Ski Fake Size
Fake Member 2 - Fake ski Fake Size
etc.
I just write about my ski, and add it to the list. Once I sell that ski, I make a new post that says "sold" copy the entire list from the post above my new one, but erase my ski from the list.
For example:
"Fake Member - Fake Ski Fake Size Sold!"
Fake Member then copies the list:
"Skis Needed:"
123ski- Scott P3 178
Fake Member 2 - Fake Ski Fake Size
That way the list is always getting updated, nobody needs to scroll through pages and pages of stuff to find what they want. I will mod this thread for the first few days to make sure all is going to plan. I Hope this made sense.
I will start with the stuff I want/need in my next post.
