even tho i liked mystic river, and lost in translation better, they are gonna give the oscar to ROTK, and peter jackson for directing. He's come a long way from dead alive.

^Haha Don't worry about it, Krongos is an LOTR fanatic just like me, we just take different perspectives on it; he think's it's perfect because it's based on the greatest story ever, I see the flaws in the film adaptation and take issue with it. Personally, never in my lifetime have I seen a movie win 'Best Picture' that belongs in my top 20, though Memento, The Usual Suspects, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and quite a few others that DIDN'T win do make that list.

well let us not forget that this highly acclaimed 'best-picture' award deems a film as the best movie from the selection that year, which technically doesn't mean shit in the huge spectrum of film out there. So best picture isn't really all its hyped up to be when you think about it. if you really want a good list for best pictures of all time, go to imdb.com and check out their top 250 movies of all time list. some of them are highly agreeable with, others not so agreeable with.

BUT 20 BUCKS TO THE PERSON WHO CAN GUESS WHAT THE NUMBER ONE MOVIE IS ON THE TOP 100 WORST MOVIES OF ALL TIME LIST! #1 means its the alltime worst for all you slow guys out there
