ok so i have some fkx on the way and me and my friend are gonna bend them to fit anthems but im wondering if my shop will flip out if they see that i bent em and for "liability" reasons not mount em? and no my shop is not a super legit shop thatyll do anything for a pack of pbr. theyre uptight and charge $75 for a mount.

That is like my shop. I am at school and my mom dropped off my lizzies and griffons (with a 90mm brake) and she forgot to bring the 110 mm brakes I had at my house and she called saying they won't mount them. I talk to the guy and he seemed like a jerk. They can mount them they just cannot test them which is a load of bull. They can put teh brakes on, they will just be resting on the ski. But there are some videos on here on how to bend fks brakes, check the "binding maintance" thread that is stickied. Alot of shops bend brakes but yours may not.

you mean they couldve just mounted the bindings without the brakes and then later bolt on the 110's? that is pretty gay.

Yes they should mount them. The bent brakes have nothing to do with the bindings performance, and I'm pretty sure you could mail your skis to my shop, have them mounted, and mailed back for $75. That's insane.

usually you can give them bindings with bent brakes and they will do it no problem, you get problems when you ask them to bend the brakes because they will NOT do that because of liability

but by them mounting them it means they have faith in them and will take responsibility if they fail. however if i bring in some bent brakes they have no clue what ive done to them. idk i dont see the diff here

shops want you money dude, bent brakes are no big deal, trust me. thats like saying they wont sell you a pair of skis because you are going to use them on rails which isnt their intended use and you could get hurt
