29 reports " A cornrow controversy has emerged in the Philadelphia Police Department after an officer was pulled off street duty because of his hair cut. The Daily News reported in Monday's editions that the 35th District officer was placed on desk duty. The newspaper said the white officer remained on desk duty for two days until he cut off the braids. A police spokesperson said the officer's supervisor did not believe the hair style was professional."
