So I'm riding around having a great time one night, we've got this little step down thing that everyone's been carve hitting. So standard procedure and I go in for the 180 illegal. I pop hard since its the last run of the night. I land a little much on my heels, and I feel my heel piece wiggle funny, so I slam my head down and then... my whole brake pops right off, bent all the metal and snapped the plastic (P12 Jib).
So I'm screwed. I'm leaving in 4 days for Sunday River and my bindings that have been solid all year, break. I go to the shop, they don't have any extras, they call 3 partner shops - they don't have any extras.
But - turns out the tech had broken his toepiece and he had P12 Jibs too - so he gave me his functioning heel piece. He didn't have to, he could have just put an extra Marker one on, but he gave me his own. And I just think thats a real nice thing to do.
Ski Haus, New Milford CT. not the greatest selection of newschool goods, but a solid staff.
And I guess the point of the story is for you guys to list whatever shops or techs or people you've encountered who've treated you really well.
