Anyone planning on going skiing? If so, where would be a sick spot? Think loveland pass would be legit?

im pretty sure loveland pass would be a bad idea for now. head to st marys glacier. theres a pretty good run there and it usually has some small pieces of pvc laying around.

^that or i hear Berthoud can be good early season. "Good" being a relative term.....
If there's enough snow out of this low front I'm a try to hit up the slopes somewhere though.

this one is gonna pass and it's gonna get warm again in a couple days unfortunately...but it shouldnt be long before a more permanent cold snap hits, at which point the snow will begin to pile all over the damn place

Be careful this early season on Loveland Pass, a little snow covers rocks and rock fields really well, its really easy to get going fast over a nice grassy section and then come barreling into a rocky area without seeing it coming. Another thought, steep permanent snowfields look really tempting after it snows, but they are the ideal sliding surface for new snow making them very prone to avys in the fall. Sorry if this was obvious. I agree that saint mary's is probs the best bet.

It doesn't matter if it's obvious for some people. It's good, important information for people who don't.
