The original show is Takeshi's Castle which is made in Japan. In that show there are no teams and contestants are slowly eliminated.

My Japanese friend says that Takeshi's Castle is a show similar to how ^maximumsushi described it, but its not really serious and the hosts make fun of the people too. One of my idiotic friends was like 'So they dont really say what they are saying in Japanese?'

yea i saw this show first in germany when i was there, and it was called takeshis castle. but i loved it just as much then as i do now here at home, and i was so damn happy when i heard it was coming here on tv

actually it was just like any other show, just every once and awhile Tony and the girl would say somthing that wasnt dubbed.

It sucked.... badly.
The had an original idea.

-Take MXC
-Take away Guy LaDouche and The Captain
-Minus the asians
-Add stupid white people
Mix in product placements by Reebok and McDonalds (yay!)
-Add safety in the forms of mouthguards, helmets and water that isn't taken from a spetic tank
-Produce it in america
-Bake it at 375 degrees for 25-32 minutes
-Pull it out of the oven and shit all over it.

I was really disappointed, but I knew it was going to happen this way.
