So, I don't know if any of you have heard, but Georgia, mainly the metro Atlanta area, has been getting a massive amount of rain for the past week. Floods don't occur in Georgia very often, and we've been in a drought for a few years now, so all many people did not know what to do with all this rain. Metro Atlanta is basically underwater right now. Don't turn this into a southern hate thread, please send some vibes to all the families that have lost their homes today, and send some vibes to the six people that have died today.
Here are some homes downtown
I had to go to work this morning, I work at a park and this is a trail behind my building...notice the bench is about 4 feet high.
Same spot behind my building 30 minutes later...the bench is submerged
Many schools were closed because the buses couldn't get out...
My friend's neighborhood pool was celebrating today, the last day of summer, with a pool party...yeah, got cancelled.
Road were completely destroyed in my county...this is from my friend's neighborhood.
This is downtown Atlanta, the downtown connector, completely flooded.
And this is what my friend sent me. I didn't make it so don't bring hate.
The weather is actually going to get worse tonight, and people are expecting even more flooding tomorrow. If you have any friends or family down here keep them in your thoughts, many people have lost everything today, send some serious vibes to the Atl.
