K2/Jester Schizo System...Thoughts?

Whattup guys, about to order some 189 Hellbents w/Schizo Jesters - the ones you can move from center mount to traditional,  etc, 3 cm in either direction of mount point - and was wondering if anybody had any advice, thoughts, reviews, warnings, endorsements, etc they could offer....

I know its the first year production run for them so of course there is the risk of durability/functionality/whatever issues but  seeing as I can get them for pretty damn cheap I thought I'd give em a go..

jester schizo's on the hellbents would be slick.  my hellbents are at true center, which is super fun for throwing them sideways, but it gets a bit hard to keep the tips up in deep snow sometimes mounted that far forward, same with driving a turn on hardpack.

here's some tidbits from ryan schmies from another thread::

"You can buy regular Schizos from Marker and put them on any ski you wish.

Or you can buy a Kung Fujas, Extreme, obSETHed, and HellBent with Schizo and built in inserts.
You can also buy those skis flat and put you own bindings on them. Then they come with NO inserts.

The Schizo system is pretty crazy though man. Once you set it up for your boot size, you don't even have to unclick from them to change position. You just use the little key to crank them forward or backwards.

Sean Decker skied on them at Hood all summer with no complaints, so they seem to have built them right. I have only skied a few days on them, but that wasn't putting them through a ringer, so I was stoked that Decker couldn't fuck them up."

from what i've heard there were a few good riders rocking them all summer at hood and whistler and they held up awesome, that is about all I can tell you. the force it takes to pull out of the ski is way stronger too, i say go for it, i think i'm throwing some on a pair of the new fujas.

The most worrying thing about them is that it's a tiny screw with 2 or 3 threads that holds everything together in the middle. Plus you can't go to true centre on the Extreme Schizo, even if you set the plates up as far forward as they'll go. I think they're made so that you can go from core centre to minus 6.

^thats kind of too bad, because IMO true center is the point that I don't want to ride all the time, but is awesome for some conditions. I would ride core center all around anyway, I'd probly never move them back from that if i was riding hellbents atleast.

That is for the skis with inserts on them I mean. Can you get the binding on its own to go on a flat ski? In that case yeah you could buy a flat Hellbent and mount it wherever you want.

ya id get flat for hellbents youll probly never ski park on them so whats the point of moving the bindings around? a good ski to get with the schizo is the kung fujas because its such a versatile ski.

I was going to agree that its hard to find a ski you want to do that with. You need a ski that can really do it all.

yeah but can i fit a bigger boot in the bindings with some simple adjustments? ive only found info about moving it back an forth, not if you can make it bigger

ive been thinking this since they came up with the idea. rental bindings have been able to do this forever its not anything new. with that said ive seen pivots with rental plates on em go for mad cheap on ebay i dont see the hype with these just mount em core center theyll be fine for everything.
