Bri, the one we watched in CI was like 30 min - I didn't see that one. Either way, these are pretty cool. Its cool to see that one person did this and made it happen...
oh really? wow that sounds like it was really interesting. the world needs more people like this guy for sure.
i think it was asked earlier, but do you know if the US military did a ceasefire for today?
hahahahahaha dude what the fuck are you talking about? youre a white skier living in one of the richest most luxurious places in the world, what the fuck do you know about anything besides being "soft"? "ghostface killah".... give me a break
on the actual subject though... i think peace needs a makeover. im a pacifist but i dont see why things regarding or supporting peace have to include piano music and flowery lettering. Peace programs need to show that peace is badass, and not perpetuate the stigma around peace-lovers and hippies. it needs to stop being the same discourse of archetypical war hawks vs pussy hippies, it needs to show that wanting peace isnt about being a pussy, or not understanding the role power plays in the world, but its about realizing in most cases, there is a better resolution than killing
well... i am hard as fuck, there is no question about that... but i also like to read the news and keep up on global affairs....
Some wars HAVE TO BE FOUGHT. There are some inherently evil mofos out there who must be kept in check.
this "peace day" concept sounds like classic romanticism. Sure, world peace would be nice.... but it just isn't realistic (now, and possibly ever).
Spreading the message is great, but there are groups around the world who don't care for this message, and would rather cut your arms off and burn you alive than listen to what you have to say.
The internet is an excellent medium to spread this type of message around the globe, but unless someone wants to pony-up and equip 6.7 billion people with free access to the web, i don't really see this "peace day" charade accomplishing much.
umm this is simply wrong, there are no wars that HAVE to be fought, its just humans being greedy in one way or another.....if only there was something that people could eat that isnt harmful and would allow us all to drop our egos and all be on the same page..hmmm i wonder what it is......ask a mycologist
true, im not arguing that, im just pointing out its human nature to do those things, and what this guy is trying to do is "be the bigger man".......pay it forward
