Something to read when there's nothing else

Hello everybody, I've got a new ski blog at www.brobomb.wordpress.com

I realize that is a lame free blog, but the plan is to get a less-lame actual domain eventually, but for now that's what you're stuck with. The layout is ultra basic, but that will change once I convince someone with a degree in the internet to help me out (thats you mothership82).

So if you've watched every edit and responded to every forum topic, then maybe take a second and check it out. The big dream plan is to make it a decent internetazine/blog that focuses on ski culture BS and product reviews.

Check it out, leave a comment, hate, love, do your thing.

The basic setup looks good for right now. Articles so far are an amazing start. I'm on board to help make this blog happen!

^ I would do anything to tail tap any piece of garbage, stick, rock, trash can, etc right now. In the end it means I'm on my skis. Hopefully less than 2 months till ski season starts.

I am really liking how your articles are written. They have good ideas and seem very well thought out. I enjoy your sense of humour. Web layout is neat, simple.

That said, you are using the stereotypical snobbish blogger's voice; judging people and things from behind the anonymity of the computer screen with a holier-than-thou attitude (kind of like I'm doing right now, sorry about that). My friend had a blog about fashion awhile ago and it sounded pretty much the same as yours. Same with a lot of the other blogs I have read (although your articles are generally much more extensive and better written). I don't see this as much of a problem because although we see a lot of this in other areas, there aren't any blogs like this for skiing.

Just a few thoughts generated at 2am, sorry if they make no sense or contradict each other.

Voice is definitely one of those endless struggles for any writer, from the greatest novelist to the newest crappy snark blogger. We all naturally write what we read, but I think good writing (at any level) steals the best, but puts it back together in a fresh way that avoids cliche.

Good stuff, are you a writer?
