Rude Canadian Children

I was at IF3 this weekend, enjoying the movies and when Signatures came on, I was happy to see something different than the other movie focusing primarily on park or urban shredding. The film maker came on stage and explained that he had lived in Japan for the past year and had poured his heart and soul into this movie. He thanked everyone for their support, and hoped we enjoyed the movie. It was clear however, that the french canadian children didn't enjoy the movie very much.

Between their rude, premature applause and their moaning when they found the movie was not over was pure childhood behavior. It would benefit all of you who were rude during the Signatures premier to watching something different for once. You may learn something - if anything, you'd learn not to be so fucking rude.

For sure. Although I did not see the beginning half of the movie I did see the second half. I personally thought it was really well done and such a feel good movie. I honestly had a hard time not smiling watching it.

That said, I can understand why there was some moans and groans (although it was completely rude) . I honestly feel like the scheduling time was not ideal for Signatures. After 2 long days of seeing ski movies I felt like it was not the best movie to have right before 4bi9 although it was a really cool movie.

wow, i guess quebec teens arent very grateful. i wouldve been stoked just to be at IF3, besides flicks that are just park and jib get repetitive to me sometimes.  variety is needed :D

Because it was always canadians who sat next to me and talked through the entire movie. Not to mention they even answered phone calls.

kids answering their phones got hella annoying. I mean, replying to texts is fine, but it seemed like everyone around me was constantly on their phone talking to people.

my american cousins went on a backpacking trip through europe and asked me to give them canadian tags for their luggage. Why? becouse in other countries americans are not generally respected.

Get over it. Its IF3 and your watching ski movies in a theatre filled with fellow skiers. Obviously people aren't going to be silent and when someone beside you talks, all you miss is a few seconds of the song.
And more specifically for Signatures you don't miss much but the same mellow beat you will hear the whole time.
That being said signatures was a great movie and really unique it was just very repetitive and not the best choice of movie to play before 4bi9, whose audience is all younger kids.

I hate when people are like that. If you don't like it, you don't need to announce it to everyone in a rude fashion. That's a movie I want to see to, it looks awesome.

aha what did you expect a room full of tall tee wearing 13-20 year olds to do?
yes they could have handled it a bit better like leaving the theatre respectfully but there wasnt much else to do anyways
I dont think its right to blame Canadian/Quebec kids I'm sure the vast majority of the site would have messed around just the same
IF3 was awesome though regardless of people answering phones and stuff it didnt bother me too much, its too bad those guys ruined the experience for you since I really enjoyed myself

Ok, being a dick is one thing. Being disrespectful to the moviemakers is one thing. But you guys realize you're SUPPOSED to make a shit ton of noise at a premiere, right? Like you're supposed to yell as much as possible when something sick happens? I can never understand when everyone's dead quiet and shooting pointed glares at people for yelling out. NOOBs.

i have to admit that the movie was pretty awesome in its entirety. the only thing is that it was REALLY long and kinda repetitive when it came to their ''philosophical'' parts. i mean, sure you have to express what the sport is all about from your point of view but repeating that a few times gets annoying. that being said; Signatures, a great movie but a bit long and repetitive (and that after-season thingy at the end was a bit useless).

wow really? a bunch of kids arent super stoked about a movie and are rude about it well thats new how about you grow up there stupid kids and there all so from how you explained it the majority of the people there so if they dont like it so what make a serious intellectual ski festival where everyone must be polite see how many people show up. do you know whats pretty rude some ass hole generalizing every canadian adolesent that is attending if if3 grow the fuck up

I'm all for making music and getting loud when something in the movie happens, but honestly, a kid having a ten minute conversation about how he is getting his dope that night gets pretty annoying.

you're not supposed to bitch and complain that the movie isn't over yet. hopefully it will be a lesson learned for those in charge of scheduling movies next year. and signatures was really good. deserved to win best cinematography.

and of all parts of cananda you were in quebec, you cant judge all of canada because of the kids in quebec who might not have even been canadian.

We're known for our rudeness. I admit I wasn't a fan of signatures, I actually ended up leaving before the end of it....It just wasn't for me, call me what you will...but I JUST WANT TO SEE BANGERS!!

Obviously groaning and stuff is idiotic, and if you weren't enjoying it you were free leave (as I did). Also understand that after a few hours of sitting around in a dark room these kids begin to get antsy.

I left for 20minutes during the middle of MSP   good thing I reembered that shane was with them or I would have missed that.

this guy kept kicking and fidgeting the back of my seat - with incessant outburst  all teh time.    I sat up turned around and asked if he could try and sit still.  he apologized profusely said he couldn't help it, he was just too excited as beer was dribbling down the front of his shirt.


after about 10 more minutes of that I finally said.  please drink more beer and pass so out so that I too can enjoy the show.
