Hi,

For my University of Utah intro to sociology class, we were asked to do a short random survey.

What’s your age?

How many minutes a month do you talk on your Cellphone? (both texting + talking)

i just looked at my bills so i could provide you with accurate information, so here we go

21 years old

30min talking, 15 min texting = 45 min all together.  good luck with your class

around 600 min talking (mostly to clients)
I send/receive around 500 texts, I dont know how long that takes though... maybe 200 minutes?

Male, 22. probably close to 3,000 texts a month. Minutes talking? ...eh this is an estimate but 5-8 hours.

Yes, my phone is attached to me. Yes, I use it for work a lot.

Coming from a research background, I hate assignments like this because there is no point to them. Everyone will give you data that is incorrect and will not help you in either proving or disproving your hypothesis. Regardless of whether it's informal or not.

Anyway, I'll chime in:

Male, 26, around 90 minutes per month... estimating that each text takes about 1 minute of my time.
