Defintley get technics, and if you cant afford technics, then just wait until you can. My tables are shitty numarks, hopefully I can upgrade soon.

dont buy 1200's rite off the bat (techinics) cause they go for like 600$ each man.. i reaaallly suggest yo go try some out, like a freind, anywere, make sure ur into it, its easy to buy them, not like it, and waste your money..so make sure you are cool with it, then, go onto ebay, and find a good pair, i suggest for a starter mabey some gemini-300's or any numark, and once you feel confortable and shit, go ahead and get some high quality shit.. but really, go try it, get used to it..

once you know how to spin (using a freinds tables or some crappy ones you picked up on ebay or at a yard sale. Definitely pick up the 1210 mg5. They look so sick. The industry standard is definitely the 1200's though. Don't waste your dollars on some middle of the road tables. Save up and get the 12's.

well i am looking at the numark 1625 its direct drive and has a stable platter but every one is saying tec 12's but is it like ski were people are like 'armada sucks PE'sa re the best' and then some kid saysd the opposite?(i cant get tec 12s cuz i dont have that kind of money)

This isn't like the ski thing. The 12 is like getting a f1 car to drive a go cart race or getting a humvee because you have a gravel parking lot. The 1200 is THE BEST tabel on the market. Numark and Vestax both make good products but they're nothing compared to the 12.

I'd really like to get into dj'ing, it seems like so much fun just mixing and whatnot. It also seems really expensive to get all the shit though, so maybe one day when i get a real job and make lots of money i can get into that, cuz it is awesome

What are you going to be mixing? That's something to take into consideration. With the straight tone arm a vestax may be better for hip hop style scratching. But the 12 is best for anything else. You can also just set the counter balance and the 12 will do fine.

i am looking to scratch some. but beat jugle and re-mix stuff.(i am looking more to do trip hop and stuff like that so i dont know how much scratching i will do) but i do know that i cant get the 12's.

Even a used re-furbished 12 will be great. Snoop arround record stores and ebay. I promise you will be able to find a use pair for good price. Just look for some spun out junkie dj who needs to sell his tables for some blow. Tell him you'll give em 200 for both and he'll proabaly take the offer.
