How to make a homemade screen printing screen?

dont want to spend 75 dollars on a XXL screen printing screen, anyone know how to make one for cheap?

I buy fabric from wall-mart, make sure you get nylon because cotton will absorb the ink, then just stretch it over an old picture frame, staple gun and your set, ive been printing shirts like this for 2 years now.  I also built my own press if you want a good site for that i can find it

what site?  i started by getting this http://www.screenprintingsupplies.com/SPS_SSK.htm  its a little pricy but now i found an art store near me that has emulsion, ink, and speedball brand screens for $25

theres this paper you can get at staples that you can iron on to shirts, its pretty cheap too, so basically you can make any kind of t-shirt you want, instead of buying an expensive jiberish shirt, you can print out its logo and iron it on to your shirt for just the price of a blank white tee

i dont really remember it being that expensive, but it was a like 4 years ago and i still have shirts from it and there fine, they just fade quickly

i tried this last year and made newschoolers.com tee with the iron on paper.  It cracked and faded the first time i washed it.  Screen Printing would be a lot better and higher quality

thats weird, i remember when we did it it took like 5 tries to get the perfect shirt, theres like some special way to do it, cant remember though

if you are going to screen print and you want a good, evenly printed, graphic style image to print on any sort of surface, you should really just invest the money to do it the right way. believe me, ive tried. even using the same process in the videos shown above. it in no way compares to the quality of a real screen, emulsion style process. and while your at it invest in paints that you can actually cure and send through the wash, aka not speedball inks.

hmm, well im buying 3 screens, alot of fabric, paint, and a squeegee, idk it seems like a good deal.
i have a die-cutter so i'll put die-cut on the screen, put the stuff on, then let it dry. then i'll take the die-cut off and have a perfect screen

is there any way to take the glue stuff off? and do i actually need to use the real glue stuff? or can i use modg podge?

what glue stuff are you talking about?  emulsion?  i think the die cut i dea sounds good, if you cut your design out and then stick the negative onto the screen like a sticker that could do a good job of masking out your design.
