so today at the end of soccer practice, a couple dumbshits on my team decide that it would be a good idea to dumb an entire cooler of ice water on some lame jv kid. he gets soaked, and so does everything around him (he was sitting on the bench). My bag was sitting underneath him, and it had my phone, new ipod, keys, and wallet in a pocket right on top. i jump right on the bag and reach into literally a pool of water inside this pocket containing my valuables. i take my phone and ipod out right away, but the damage was already done. after 5 hours of leaving them buried in rice, the ipod appears to be responding to restoring it on itunes although the screen was only white after it got wet, and its still turning white sometimes. the phone was vibrating uncontrollably and turning on and off before the rice, and now it says to insert the smartchip, which is definitely in there correctly. so. are either of these things totaled, and should i make these dumbasses pay. im actually good friends with one of the kids who poured out the cooler, but i dont really like the other one. i will feel weird asking them for money, but im asking you for your opinion on whether my devices are totaled, and how/whether i should get these idiots to pay.
p.s. as im writing this the ipod screen turned white again and isnt turning back. aaaah
