New Skiis

im looking for new skiis that arent to expensive but are a good ride. i live out here in pennsylvania so im on ice most of the winter but i get out west every year so i want something thatll also work in powder. im not big on the park so i want more of a all mountain ski. maybe 70% mountian and 30% park. id love some help

Alright, let's run down my list of favorites for this one.

- Armada AR6 or THall (Always fun, and Armada is the shit)
- Surface Watch Life (for the softer all-mountain ski - mad fun)
- ON3P Jeronimo (Hand-made, bamboo core, awesome flex pattern, super fun, goes anywhere, baller)
- Line Chronic or Chronic Cryptonite (Line's All-mountain ski - the Cryptonite goes ANYWHERE)
- Line Anthem (I'm gonna throw this in the mix, a lot of people like it all mountain - you could also look at Elizabeths and Sir Francis Bacon - but they might be a little wide and soft for all the ice)
- Liberty LTE (this years version of the Phil Larosse Pro, but softer and lighter)
- Volkl Wall or Bridge (the Wall is a park ski, but rips all over the place, the Bridge goes anywhere too - but isn't as good in the park)
- K2 Silencers (for the Price Point ski)

These are all the skis you should look into, but my picks would be between Armada and ON3P, hope that helps.

okay, im going to say chronic cryptonite because hes like 6 foot and athletic build, sound perfect if he wants a little stiffer ski that can be skied anywhere from ice to powder, and can be taken in to the park

and i actually think i made the wrong decision getting ar6s, they are probley too stiff and wont be playful and fun, i think i shouldve gotten something softer since im really small

Yeah, that's probably a good choice.

How small are yo and what size ski did you get. I mean it's not going to be as soft as an Invader or an Anthem, but it's still a very fun ski AND (this is key) it wont loose hold on the ice (like some of those do sometimes).

5 foot 5 and got a 166...the guy at the shop is saying disordorlys would be so money for me though, he said i shouldve gotten something with more flex because im so small and it wouldnt affect all mountain performance

hmmm, I think you should be able to butter it around, it might take a little getting used to, but it shouldn't be a problem. I've heard VERY mixed reviews on Disorderlys, a lot of people like them, but I know a few of my friends HATE theirs. I think you'll be happy with the AR6's, you just got to get them on the snow and you'll be throwing them around like nothing. If you're worried about it you can always put them on, and go to an open area with carpet and flex them forward and backwards, it wont be the same as snow (it'll be easier on snow), but it'll help you get the feel for it.

the only real difference between the THalls and the AR6s are the flex in the tail.
