yes, but its a little different, they have Special olympics, and they have the para-olympics ( I think it is) the special olympics take place all the time, the para-olympics take place right around the same time as the olympics (every 4 years)

hell I think what the do is amazing, you get amputees (and born missing limb) skiers in all recognized racing discipline, some on mono and bi-skis (parapalegics), blinds, and some other physical ailments too. It crazy to see some of the competitors running with guides at full speed through race courses. Those guys (and girls) represent the true heart and spirit of skiing to, they have so much working against them, and yet they are still out there kicking ass.

i once saw a black guy with one leg doing 360s. i dont know what was more amazing, the fact that he was black and skiing, or the fact that he had once leg and could do 360s.

i volunteer for special olympics, yea the next world competition is 2005 in japan somewhere, i dont know if it's nagano or not, but uhh yea paralympics are for physically challenged, special is mentally, dont be an ass and make some sick joke
