I have an 80 gig Ipod video that has served 3.5 solid years of service, but now I am having a little issue with it. The Ipod functions perfectly in every way except that it does not put out audio. I thought that it was a headphone jack problem, but when I plug it into my iTrip with the port I get no audio output. The Apple "Genius" told me nothing other than my Ipod wasn't working properly (oh thanks guy, that was worth my time. All he did was blow air into the headphone jack even though it obviously isn't the issue, then tell me he could give me a discount on a new one...).
So does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? Is there a reputable website that can fix it? Or should I recycle it for $50 and accept the loss? It is mint (not NS mint, but actually in mint condition) other than the internal issue.
