Replying to The american way vs the european way of parenting

it seems to me that in america the trend seems to be to spoil the fuck out of your kids, teach them that there is nothing to worry about when they are kids, and then kick them out when their 18.

while in europe they dont spoil their kids,  they show them what the world is really like from a young age,  but they let them stay at home as long as they want without there even being a discussion about it. in fact in italy a huge percentage of people live with their parents.

which would you prefer?
