Need help with camera boom

we got the boom and shit  down but im stumped as hell we want to try to get like a laptop or a mini dvd player that could hook up to the camera so we could see what where filming any ideas or wires you think i need. by the way our camera is a gl2 if that effects anything

You can hook up the firewire/usb cable directly to your laptop to use as a monitor and record directly to the computer at the same time or use a rca cable to hook up to a monitor, you just need to find a long enough cable.

i have a portable DVD player with USB port; when i hook up my old point and shoot nikon to it its basically my LCD display...

im not sure if this works with all cameras but it sure works with mine....

get ur hands on onlocation and shoot to harddrive over firewire
