my swagger from third dimentia on Vimeo.
this is the definition of 2010.
all ive seen is nollies off boxes, not pressed out slides. (and most of them look like mule kicks)
^ at 1:10, i see tailpress blindside switchup nosepress 270, thats been done? pretty sure its called a casanova on a snowboard.
he left out a "s"
its a typo, simple mistake, everyone does it once in awhile.
cool down bro
friggin english teacher over here
I do 90's off because 270's are played.
Progression!
Well they're no friends of mine
All I know is I'm amazed by what the freeskiers of today are doing in the park. For me it's way more interesting to watch what the skiers are doing on the boxes and rails than boarders because there are so many more tricks they can do. I'm not hating on the boarders, but it seems that skiers have alot more variety and complexity to their moves. I could watch videos for hours on end(and been known to do so) of accomplished freeskiers and never tire of it. I've often said Tom dances on them rails, Henrik too! They both make it look so smooth, so natural....so st"easy". God if I were young again, That's what I'd want to TRY and do!!
so youre willing to give up all 10000 advantages to skiing to do simpler tricks on rails on a snowboard?
thats not right man
Sorry but rails actually do matter in slopestyle contrary to popular belief. Remember way way back at the xgames slope in I believe 2004. All that controversy between who should have won between Tanner Hall and Charles Gagnier. Long story short the judges said that their decision to choose Charles Gagnier over Tanner Hall was do to his inovative one foot grind on the upper rail section of the course.
and one thing that's always kind of annoyed me about skiing in general is that if people do tech tricks on jumps or halfpipe they are critisized endlessly on pushing the sport in the wrong direction and how it wasn't stylie. These same ticks eventually do become stylish. But this same rule does not apply to rails apparently. I could tell you anyone can have style in the air if they aren't doing big tricks and no a 540 doesn't count as a big trick.
And on a side note I don't think this guy who made the thread was asking people to start only doing 90 on 90 offs
bro there are so many more options for grinding on skis than on boards. the only thing i can think of that you cant realy do on a rail is a 50 50
The thread starter also posted this about bandanas:https://www.newschoolers.com/web/forums/readthread/thread_id/268668/
oh ok well that makes this alot better now.
good choice too. rails arent all that fun i dont think. well they are but theres better things to do...
