this edit contains no especially revolutionary rail tricks. what it does contain is a huge number of extremely technical rail combos all executed flawlessly. it's refreshing to me to see guys ski rails and simply execute the trick cleanly and leave it at that- no xxxl, no afterbang required. don't get me wrong, i don't mind either of those things it's just that it has become the norm. many of the tricks in this edit were similar to those in dumont's, but russ's stood out way more for me.
re. afterbang: done well, i think it looks great, on jumps, because there's a landing impact so the bang flows properly, whereas rails there's not really so much of a landing impact so the bang can look unnatural. bit off topic and poorly worded i'm afraid but there, i've said it.
shit his really good at rails
i always thought that was just good and jumps and stuff
shit yeah Russ, that was the effin tits!!!!
Russ is my hero.. *faints*
Those rails were tiny as shit. They were like barely a foot off the ground. Any pro can throw those tricks on small features like that. Lets see if he can do the same shit on a legitamate rail.
Not hating, thats ultimate rail mastery. And I love tricks on small rails. But for all the people thats like "Russ is better than all the other pros", thats why he isn't.
