Synthetiic ice good sliding surface?

^ pretty much explains it anyone ever used it before you think it will work?  i'll get back to you if it works. it looks like it would work!

I am super interested in this stuff.  I have heard that they ice skate on this.  Should be able to use it for summer setups.  This could be a more legit summer ski surface than dry slope carpets.  Someone's got to get on some of this with skis on.

it basically just hard plastic. so good for boxes and bad for a drop-in

Why do you say bad for drop in?  It doesn't sound like this stuff is just hard plastic from the description.  I'm pretty interested in this stuff for Huck and Splash.  If it works, it would solve quite a few problems and it's made in the U.S. so shipping would be less.  This is the one that I think looks the most promising:  http://www.globalsyntheticice.com/GSIDefault.aspx

I've skated on it and it is literally just plastic. Holding any sort of edge on it would be literally impossible.

so far not too good i tried it out and first thing is i caught and edge really easily and fell then the whole top sheet came off because i glued it so now i will drill it on instead i hope it works.

finally got snow so my neighbor tryed it and it worked perfectly, he said it was smooth and there were no problems.

judging by the height a and size of the skinnier rail one you really might want to beef up the supports and make the ground pieces longer

i finished the rail and used it for like 8 hours straight the other night no problems im so excited except all the snow just melted
