Any U. of Utah PRT students?

hey guys, im currently going to school in Maine, but i've been seriously considering transferring to University of Utah for the Parks, Rec and Tourism program. Can anyone tell me more about it? What are the classes like in that program? what is the campus like? Are there tons of skiers? Also if any transfer students could give me some advice that would be awesome

Farmington. I based my decision on going here on the Ski Industries program, but they cut it last spring so now i dont really know what i want to do. Im not too interested in many of the other programs here which is why im thinking u of utah

There's loads of skiers here. One of my friends is majoring in PRT, and I think my roommate (Bo-bot) is thinking of switching. I'll try to remember to tell one of them to post on here.

i go to the U right now and i absolutely love it, i would highly reccomend going there, there are so many different clubs for outdoors stuff, they have utah freeskier society, onelove ski/board club, tons of climbing, biking, all outdoors stuff, and its close to tons of resorts.

oh and the parties kick ass. mormon girls know how to get buck.

park and rec is probably one of the easiest majors you can do you are gonna have so much fun doing the required classes, you can take an avalanche course that requires shredding a lot of pow that counts to your major how can you not love that

that sounds sick, thanks for the replies so far. Would you say its easy to meet a lot of people? especially since i would be going as a transfer student...

PRT here and a few other friends are doing it as well. you wont have a problem meeting new people at all. def. a good choice, the major is sweet and friends that are near graduation have had nothing but fun.
