Blue or Big Boulder

I just moved to Philly and I'm going to pick up a pass to one of these, looking for some feedback and how these stack up against each other, any insight is appreciated

I had passes to both last season. For inseason (last year was Black Friday-late March) all around riding, i like blue better. They have longer runs, two high speed lifts, a really long..pretty fun park, and better all mountain terrain. Boulder's jumps were a little better last year, and they extend their season (ASAP/Early to mid November - Late April/May) which is nice. Both have really good rails, and lots of them. I'm pretty sure boulder's pass is a little cheaper, but unless you want to ski park 100% of the time, go with Blue. And Blue is about 40 miles closer to philly.

I concur w. KThomas. I will add that Blue is a good 1/2hr closer to Philly, so if you're planning to make the drive often, it adds up.

So after a few years here I've settled into Boulder for early and late season parks (they usually have discount early/late season tickets too), and Blue for midseason as its longer, bigger, closer, and has a good enough (but not as good as boulder's) park to hold you over.

^^^^word I agree with above but overall everything adds up and its just smarter to get a blue pass and there park does get really legit...

technical?? more like circus rails....i have had a pass to blue for my whole life, its a great mountain.  Having two high speed detachable lifts is epic in order to get many runs in....

come ride at boulder. i havent really been to blue, but i know thet boulder is great. park is great, rails are great and i ride there all the time. my home mountain. i love it.

people are legit and so are prices

If you want to do your self a favor, get to camelback.  Will has done some sick things and really caters to both SKIERS and boarders.  Unlike boulder who doesn't build anything super skier friendly when compared to CB. 

If you want to have some fun without a lot of hate (from boarders) check out CB.  If i lived closer I would ride there in a heartbeat.

i will try this winter but im pretty sure thet if i can rise the features at boulder, any one can. and they arnt just for boarders. skiers can as well hit them. i dont see what ur saying. i have no problem with boulders set up. i ride for the team there and i love it ther.

Most of boulders setups i have found to have narrow takeoffs compared to camelbacks.  Also the jump at CB in my opinion kill boulders only due to the landing size. you can take them deep.  They are a lot more comfortable to hit IMO.  boulder is sick but feel as if camelback killed it this year in comparison.

camelback rails were pretty sweet although they were super sketch...i forget who made them...snow park tech maybe? or snow planet? but mayyy too many dinks in them. but their assortment was great...only real complaint. need work on their jump lines. definitely

I skied blue maybe 20 days last season.  I didnt pay once.  Sneaking around the ticket dudes is key in saving money,.

did you ski boulder or camelback last year? i'm a huge fan of boulder, and i've ridden blue for 20 years, but to say boulder blows is a gross exaggeration. blue's got better terrain in general if you want to take a break from the park, but the quantity of features at boulder is pretty on point.

Boulder is dope, the jumps at boulder > camelbacks in terms of being built well, the boulder jumps are so perfect.  Blue is sick as aids though, so much stuff to ride, I wish I had gotten up there more last season but oh well.  IMO C-back sucked slightly less than it usually does last year... it still sucked.  the landings were usually ice and the jumps were ridic.  some nice rails, but a lot of really steep stuff and you could never see the whole rail, just the top.

I love boulder, it's such a chill place and the boarders are nice, can't say anything about Blue but usually there's no problem, but camelback has such douchebag boarders.  Just my experiences though.

Fuck all of those come to Bear Creek. Their park is so underated, i like it better than blue and boulders.

interesting. did you ride blue or boulder last year? no disrespect to andy and tom, but bear just gets shafted with crappy weather and doesn't produce quite like blue or boulder. bear's fun, don't get me wrong, but if i had to buy just one pass, it probably wouldn't be bear, but my parents live 10 minutes from blue so thats a large factor as well.

yea i was a both. at blue the park was sick i guess but i was to distracted by the mile long lines. And boulder was good but it just didnt live up to hype.

Blue let season pass holders rock the VIP line last season, which was a lifesaver for me since it was my first season at Blue. I don't know how anyone could survive those lines in the past without it.

they look long, but i don't think i've ever waited more than 10 minutes in line. compared to places like killy, or some places out in UT on a pow day, that's not really all too bad.
