Don't get me wrong I know NS needs to make money somehow and advertising is a very good way of doing that. But it would be better and greatly benefit the community if there were not commercials before every single video posted. Imagine if facebook had a 30 sec. commercial every time you clicked on someone's page. Come on this isn't MTV this is supposed to be a community and I like many other people are sick of watching a 45 second commercial for a 15 second clip. It's not only annoying to the people who want to watch the videos in peace with out being bombarded by Ryan Sheckler jumping over a golf cart, but it's unfair to the riders and film editors who may not want a company like axe to advertise their product on something that they worked hard on. And again, NS is a community I understand that it makes money but it should be more important to create a product that is better than anything else out there. So please stop the commercials.

Umm I'm not saying NS shouldn't advertise that would be stupid. I'm saying that having commercials that are often longer than the actual videos posted hurts the community, and that since it's a community it should be responsible to all it's members, not just the ones who make money from it. It will eventually turn members away who would have been positive members of the community. And as far as alternatives go, look at the websites that have been most successful with advertising. Google, Facebook etc... They don't have invasive ads like "Double Pits To Chesty" commercials and as a result are some of the most successful business ventures in recent history. Need I remind you about the one line adds by Google that made them famous? I'm not saying it has to be that little, but commercials on the internet are one of the lowest most obnoxious forms of advertising. As far as I'm concerned they're worse than popup ads. I think NS should seek advertisers who are willing to have ads that do not waste everyone's time every time they want to see what's happening in the ski world.

i havent watched, or seen, any ads on NS since i installed adblock plus. in case you cant wrap your little brain around that statement, dowload adblock plus.
