BCA Tracker DTS

So i have the bca tracker dts and i bought it off someone else but it didn't come with the harness. Is it worth it to buy the harness for 30 bucks or is it better to just stick in a protected pocket with easy access?

i know people who just put it in their pocket. me personally i like the harness cause when your hiking with your jacket off if something happens you still have it on. its your call.

Right hip pocket and clip it to your belt loop. Much comfier than the harness and it's right there when you need to search, the manual says this is the alternative to the harness. Just make sure it's not a patch-pocket and don't wear your pants supper sagging and there's pretty much no chance of them getting ripped off in a harsh slide.

The only disadvantage is when someone digs you out if they need to switch yours off and don't know where to look.
