does age really matter??

I dont know if this has been posted before, but there have been so many comments about like 'I'm only 12!' or 'Holy shit, he's only 13!', but then theres the other side we people comment and dont really give a shit about people's age... personally I dont really care, its cool if they are young, but its not a huge deal, i guess im just seeking some other people's opinions about if you think age matters when it comes to skiing.

when your young you dont really give a shit, you'll just go throw yourself off anything and your like rubber, so thats probably why young kids are good. also it pretty impressive to see a little midget 10 year old doing some huge jump but its they probably cant ski for shit. you should be able to ski well before you start in the park i think.

^what he said. Little kid's can't feel pain. If you crash, you are sad, but it doesn't hurt. I remember when I as about ten and just went at everything, jumps, cliffs whatever and usually crashed but didn't care. Once I got bigger things started hurting, and i got more careful. I think the main thing is just the wow factor of a tiny kid going really big. It looks crazy, and is pretty fun to watch.

Age doesn't matter at all.
I'd hate being able to throw 10's being 13 and just have an awful life and be a cocky bastard.I'd rather be 22 and be able to throw some nice shit and rip the pow and be a nice guy with lots of friends.

yea its how many yrs skiing cause if i see a 12 yr old rippin as hard as me i just look at like they started at age 3 prolly while me 16 right now started at 8 so they been skiing longer

I've been skiing for 14 years, but I've only really cared about the park for maybe one year. I don't get to ski too much though so some of the kids that are like 10 and have been skiing for like 4 years are almost as good as me...

na doesn't matter i love to see younger kids rip it up... today i saw this kid probably 7-8 with little scratches pull the cleanest biggest mute grab over a 20 ft table... it was sick!

what skimack said is right on. i'm 16 but i'm a really small person, and i never get seriously hurt. like on thursday i was doing a corked spin and didn't come out of my cork and landed straight on my face and shoulder on a 40 foot jump, and just got up and walked away. if you're not getting hurt, you're more confident to try new things.

when i see younger kids pulling shit i only get pissed cuz i'm older and past the 'huck myself of anything stage' so it's sorta envey at them, but then agian if their cool then i really don't care.

theres a ton of factors. Age, experience, where you ski, who you ski with. All of these things have a lot to do your skiin ability. I'm sure I'd be a better skier if my hill had more than 200 vertical feet and a decent park.

age doesn't matter at all. I started when i was like 10 (im now 16)but i only went like twice a year until 2 years ago so i sucked. Now i can ski the whole mountain and have just started in the park the last year. It also depends on how many times u go up. Twice a year was what my parents wanted to pay and thats what we had to stick to. Now i have a place in the mountians and go up just about every weekend. So age doesn't matter.
I ski there for I am.

bristolrider, where your knees and ankles hurt the rest of the day, mine would hurt for at least a week. once you get to a certain age, you have to be more careful, stuff breaks easier. i am only 19 and my knees are probably on par with a 50 year old's

yeah it is really cool seeing little kids gpoing big but it annoying when you see it cos they're so good and so young. why are there no young girls going big? that would be cool to see!!

hey, im 14, so thats still pretty young... i dunno tho, i get pretty scared, but i guess that's cause im a girl, not cause im young.. it's weird tho, cuz yah im young and my coaches and people always talk about how we're still young and we've got our whole lives ahead of us.. but for me, the girls i ski with are my age but have been skiing so much longer than me and have progressed a lot more, so im playing catchup.. i guess it's weird for me to be playing catch-up at 14..
